Fit For Speed is proud to announce their latest racing client Davin Foster. Davin is a junior in high school and
is pursuing his passion to become a professional race-car driver. Davin’s commitment to his career is evidenced by his hard work and numerous hours of training. To date Davin has spent over 350 hours of training using simulation, working closely with Kelly Jones of RaceCraft1.
Davin’s introduction to racecars began with a three-day racing class with Skip Barber Racing School. Davin is scheduled to attend Racing School with various dates scheduled for the 2014 year. His near-term goal is to compete in the Skip Barber Karts to Cars Shootout in October, 2014. During the upcoming racing season, Davin plans to continue karting at Sonoma Raceway in the 2014 Red Line Oil Karting Championship to hone his racing skills.
Isaac Gredinberg (owner and trainer at Fit For Speed) says: "Davin really works hard during his training sessions. His commitment to his body and understanding the importance of his diet and training will put him on the podium during his career. I love that a young high school prodigy can see the benefit and can commit to a rigurous training cycle. You can see the difference each week, from the veins getting bigger in his arms, to his lap times dropping each week during karting. Im very proud of Davin and his current accomplishments."
Davin works hard at balancing challenging academics and training. When he is not studying for AP Physics you can find him training with Isaac Gredinberg of Fit for Speed, cycling with his brother, endurance racing at Le Mans Karting, Fremont, California, and training on his professional simulator. A typical week involves all of these with more than 10 hours devoted to training. Recently, Davin’s high school has recognized his rigorous physical training program with his commitment to his racing craft, and now gives him Physical Education school credit for his training.
Davin Foster says: "Fit For Speed has helped me, as a driver, realize the importance of physican fitness in racing. It helped me become more adept at racing and giving me an advantage over other drivers that is necessary in racing"
The goal for Davin is to keep moving forward in his pursuit of racing and ultimately dreams of a career in IndyCar. Through rigorous training and immense ambition, Davin believes he has a chance to achieve his dreams and become one of the greatest drivers to live. “That’s what it’s all about,” he says, “Being the best and being remembered throughout history.”
